April is usually the first time of the year you might see a touch of summer in the UK, with temperatures rising, spring in full bloom and mornings brighter than ever. However, for every single warm day we get in April it’s usually followed by four days of rain. We’ve got spring cleaning to do and the garden usually needs a lot of maintenance around this time of the year. It’s also midway between the summer holidays and last Christmas, so it’s very easy to get bored and stressed seeing the work year stretch about before you.
Why not remove that stress by getting away from the April holidays? There’s no need to enjoy a touch of summer in the UK when the summer is already in full swing in the rest of the world. April holidays are perfect because they are just out of season, so it’s quite easy to bag a bargain on your flights and resort if you get in early and grab the best deals.
The other advantage of taking a holiday in April is that the Easter holiday for kids is normally during the month, so April holidays mean you can get away for as long as two weeks without having to worry about your children missing out on any of their education.
Turkey and Egypt are great places to go in your April holidays, especially because they’ll both pretty much guarantee sunshine during the month, without being as unbearably hot as they are likely to become during the summer. Resorts in these areas usually offer great deals during April, including many all inclusive packages at prices far lower than the ones you’ll see only a few months later.
Both of these locations also have the advantage of being quite cheap for both hotel and flights from the UK, so you don’t have to wait for that midyear bonus to come through before enjoying April holidays.
