The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife is known as the Island of eternal spring, and for good reason. People considering holidays to Tenerife can expect year round sun and one of the best climates in the world, averaging at around 20 degrees all year round. Like many of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a great destination for anyone of any age and offers excellent, sun filled experiences no matter what you are looking for in a dream holiday.

The majority of people on Holidays to Tenerife choose resorts located in the south of the island which is generally considered to be the more commercial and tourist area. The beaches (many of which are manmade) and the facilities are top notch, and the excellent access to the islands vibrant nightlife makes many of resorts a big hit for the younger crowds. You can relax on the beach all day and spend all night at one of the many clubs in the area, many of which stay open in the early hours even if they don’t quite match their Ibiza counterparts in pure size.

If clubbing isn’t your thing, the north attracts about a third of all visitors to the island with its far quieter and slower pace of life. The northern resorts can not only catch the best weather on the island but are also closer to more traditional areas of the culture that you might otherwise miss if you stay in the south and don’t often leave your resort.

Activities in Tenerife are varied but especially suited for people who like to be active. People booking Holidays to Tenerife can enjoy hiking up one of the islands many mountains or walking through the lush landscape of the central island. Fishing and Bungee jumping are also popular pursuits. There’s also plenty to entertain children on the island including a zoo and adventure park.

Holidays to Tenerife can be taken throughout the year, although the island is busiest during the summer season between May and September.
