We all love a good holiday to Benidorm, the lovely weather, the short flight and the ‘home away from home’ feel we get upon arrival are just a few factors as to why. Many people reading this will know Benidorm inside out (probably due to it being there 30^th time visiting there this year) and therefore will know every detail about every hotel, down to the exact location on a map. Whether you prefer to stay in the Poniente side of resort or the Levante, they are both home to some atrocious hotels.

One in particular is the Gemelos 4. Situated in the Levante area of Benidorm, the Gemelos 4 is an apartment complex that continues to disappoint its guests. The property is run-down and the facilities and service here are inexplicable, however that is not the main cause for concern. The Gemelos 4 apartments are renowned for being broke into. Numerous guests who have stayed there have had the unfortunate news that there room has been burgled. Mobile phones, mp3 players, passports, hair straighteners, perfumes and many more valuables have been noted to have been stolen and it appears to be happening on a regular basis.

The most worrying factor of all this is that the majority of reports have claimed there have been no signs of forced entry into the rooms, insinuating that it may be people on site who are the culprits. There has been no evidence to prove this and some holidaymakers also claim that there are locals who parade outside the hotel waiting for guests to leave the complex on an evening. For all tourists who book their holidays to Spain, it is best to always hire a safe if it is available and ensure you look into the hotel you are staying in prior to departure.
