Grupotel Club, Menorca
The Grupotel Club is located in Cala 'n' Bosch in the stunning Balearic Island of Menorca. Occupying a prime position, the Grupotel Club is a hotel that is fantastic for location, however pretty average for everything else. The resort of Cala 'n' Bosch is wonderful. Modern, relaxing and cosmopolitan, what more could you want. However you do need to be careful about where you stay here.
Having looked around online and having browsed through a couple of brochures, the Grupotel kept re-appearing, and for all the wrong reasons. "Awful and noisy" one review read "a one out of ten!" said another. Seemingly this hotel is being sold perfectly on paper; however it is a whole different story once you arrive. The apartments are said to comprise of a double bedroom, a living room with two sofas, a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities, an en suite bathroom and a terrace or balcony. Yet when holidaymakers were arriving to their rooms, the beds were two 'smaller than single' beds pushed together, the kitchenette consisted of a tiny oven and a rundown fridge and the bathroom looked as though the maids had forgot to pay a visit in there.

Another problem was the standards of the entertainment. Families taking young children were reassured that there was plenty of family entertainment onsite; again, both mums and dads and the little ones were left disappointed with the standards of entertainment being described as 'amateurish'. Don't get me wrong, I have not personally stayed here and cannot say as to whether these complaints are perhaps just typical holidaymakers who are not happy as there every single need was not accustomed too. But perhaps the Grupotel Club is ok for those holiday bargains you see where you just want a place to sleep, but not ideal for your summer family holiday.
