The Savoy Hotel

Ahh Sharm El Sheikh, beautiful year round sunshine, gorgeous beaches and just the right amount of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained without overdoing it. As you can probably tell I am a huge fan of Sharm El Sheikh and would go there year on year if I could afford to. Perhaps it’s due to the deep tan I came home with, or maybe it’s because of the friendly locals I met, or just maybe it’s because of the magnificent hotel I had the pleasure of staying in whilst I was there.

The Savoy Hotel is by far the most luxurious hotel I have ever had the privilege of visiting, and I empathise the word privilege. Situated at the foothills of the majestic Sinai Mountains, The Savoy Hotel is among the many properties here that give Egypt holidays there fabulous reputation. Tropical gardens edge the vast complex, weaving in and out of the outdoor swimming pools that meander down to the amazing backdrop of the red sea, statuettes scatter the grounds drawing guests to a halt as they admire their beauty, and by night the gardens are dimly lit with little hanging lamps that create a romantic and serene atmosphere. On site facilities here at the Savoy are brilliant, guests have access to huge screens showing films, cartoons, sports and music, 3 Adult swimming pools (2 of which are heated), 2 kids swimming pools. (1 salty pool at the beach), 2 Floodlit tennis courts and some of the very best in spa facilities are also available.

Parents need not worry about bringing their little ones here either as there is plenty to keep them entertained whilst you enjoy the sun. From 9.00am till 5pm children can enjoy the Scooby Doo and Toy Club, then after a quick shower in their rooms with mum and dad, picking out their favourite party frock, the kids can pop along to the kids disco from 8.30 to 9.30pm. There isalso supervised care for when us parents want to sneak off for a nice meal, and a baby-sitting service for those who like to sample the nightlife when on their jollies. If all that doesn’t tempt you to visit Egypt and sample this wonderful hotel, perhaps having a look into some of the other five star properties that dot the coast here will show you just what it is you’re actually missing.
