La Maltese Hotel & Restaurant, Santorini
Santorini is an enchanting Greek isle that is considered to be one of the most magical in Greece. Situated on high cliffs, it offers breath-taking views and some of the most exquisite scenery, as well beautiful sunsets and dramatic sights. It is a sterile island that rests opposite a volcano, which is why the beaches here are laden with black and red sands. This volcano is still very much dormant with the last eruption occurring in the 1950's. This caused an earthquake that tragically destroyed many villages on the island, which many of the locals will be only too happy to tell you about.
A stunning resort located in Santorini is Caldera, a name which translates to 'volcano cauldron' (please do not let this put you off). Caldera sits 250m above the sea on top of a traditional village called Imerovigli. Here holidaymakers will find magnificent views over the village as well as a ringside seat for you to admire the fascinating volcano. One particular hotel that holidaymakers will fall in love with here is the La Maltese Hotel and Restaurant.
Described as being 'simply perfect,' the La Maltese offers a true example of what luxury is all about and offers its guests an unforgettable getaway. The facilities at this hotel are designed to offer you that extra special touch, from the well thought out 'playing card' table, to the in-house iron and laundry service available, you will feel as though you are staying with family or friends as opposed to staying in a hotel. Guests also have access to an outdoor swimming pool, a luxury pool that rests under a pavilion that is a little more discreet, a spacious veranda where you can sit back and relax whilst enjoying the spectacular view, an indoor and outdoor bar, an indoor Jacuzzi and a fantastic dining area. All in all the La Maltese Hotel and Restaurant is a prime choice for somewhere to stay on your next Greece holidays. Small and friendly, exceptional service and very highly reviewed, what more could you want?
