Spain holidays are some of the most popular amongst UK tourists. Spain is perhaps the closest country to the UK that can offer the kind of paradise vistas we see in holiday brochures of beautiful sunsets and huge expanses of clear blue water. Being so close to us means it’s convenient and cheap to find a holiday to Spain and unsurprisingly, that means your spoilt for choice – everything from first class flights and 5 star hotels to budget ‘no frills’ airlines and affordable resorts are on offer.
Because of the high demand, you don’t have to shop carefully if you want to get the best deal on Spain holidays. The more out of peak period you get the cheaper your flights and resort – but it doesn’t stop there. Look at holidays in May and October and you’re likely to find the whole experience cheaper, including things like drinks and club entry.
However, food generally stays the same price no matter what, so you might want to consider staying in half board accommodation which is likely to save you money in the long run, even if it is slightly more expensive to begin with.
One thing you need to be aware of when booking a Spain holiday out of season is that unlike more exotic locations with like Africa, the country doesn’t stay warm all year round. Often, Spain is still warm during October and May but there isn’t normally the same guarantee of nice weather that you’ll get in a country like Egypt. However, while this isn’t great news for beach holidays, it does mean you can have a great time booking Spain holidays to go sightseeing either on the beautiful islands, small towns or the larger cities.
You can still find great deals on Spain holidays if you do want to travel in the peak season, but remember – if it’s during the summer holidays when many families will be travelling, it’s wiser to book in advance rather than wait for a last minute offer as these don’t normally save much money in the Summer months due to high demand.
